Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 during an Olympic competition. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was six years old. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she took home 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and '74 she was the all-around junior champ. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals as well as one silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world to utilize a reversed double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment programs Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events that included theatrical performances.
