Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born on August 20, 1974 Aviano Italy American actor. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of charming, innocent people. In the mid-1990s she began performing professionally and dancing in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. In Minnesota she was employed at a regional theater, where her role in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a comedy documentary that focused on beauty magazines. When she made her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. The couple also had children Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and started her career in film during the latter half of 1940s. The actress portrayed Norma in various popular films throughout time, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film released in 1954.
