She was born on March 29 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Her given name was Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican daughter of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson is born in Mexico. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American citizenship. At a very young age, her desire to be active in sports was strong. Gerina took up golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School. While she was in the high school level, she was able to win her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. Also, she played volleyball at the state level. She attended the University of Texas, Texas in the academic year. During her senior years she was the winner of every competition she participated in. Through her college career, she won her the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year and UTEP Female athlete of the Year.
